Join Us This Sunday!
This week we continue our “Emerge” series with a look at what we need to leave behind in the process of transformation. Just as the butterfly necessarily abandons the chrysalis that once provided shelter, there come moments where we have to let go. The desert-wandering Israelites remind us of how tempting it can be to long for what was, rather than receiving the grace that propels us forward.
With that in mind, we’ll gather at the communion table to receive the physical and spiritual nourishment that emboldens us to take flight.
And as we are fed, we go forth to feed others. Please bring your tuna cans to church this Sunday (5/3) as we finalize our 2026 “Tower of Tuna” for the local Ecumenical Food Shelf. We’ll also say a prayer of blessing upon the walkers representing UCU at today’s COTS Walk in Burlington. It’s not too late to join the team or make a donation to those working to end homelessness.
