Calling all cooks, church contacts reminder
Over this summer, we’ve had a few church families in need of meals and support while recovering from illness or injury. When this happens, our Membership and Evangelism team seeks to coordinate meals on a schedule that works well for the family. It turns out, we could use a few more cooks! If you’d like to be added to the list of folks contacted when these needs arrive, could you kindly let the team know? They can be reached at mande@ucu.church. Thank you.
As I prepare to head out on leave, I’ve been sharing updates on the worship plan as well as pastoral care. This week, I’m sending a gentle reminder of who to contact for church communication and administration - and these are the same whether or not I’m around!
Sue Bahr is our church secretary (secretary@ucu.church). She works remotely on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:30-2:30, and she is the person to contact if you’d like to add anything to the website, church calendar, bulletin, printed announcements, or e-newsletter.
Stacy Luther, our church webmaster (webmaster@ucu.church), can help with email distribution lists, Google Drive, or Zoom. Note: if you regularly use the church Zoom room to host meetings, we updated our login information on July 30. Please reach out to Stacy if you have questions.
Our church trustees rotate serving as “Trustee of the Month” or TOM. This is the person to contact if you’d like to schedule use of the church or borrow church equipment, or if you notice a facilities need in the church, parsonage, or Clutter Barn. You can find the current Trustee of the Month on the back page of our bulletins.
Did you know our church has a medical supply lending program? Durable medical equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, canes, crutches, commodes, shower benches & chairs) can be donated or borrowed from the parsonage garage. To make a donation or set up a time to browse the equipment, please email medical@ucu.church (preferred) or call and leave a message on the church phone (802-299-1722). A few congregation members monitor these requests and communicate with me when folks will be coming and going from the barn. Our family much appreciates knowing ahead of time when people will be stopping by.
Thanks for your attention to these details. It takes a village to be the church. I’m so grateful for those who share their gifts on a frequent basis to keep things running smoothly.
