Position Overview

  • Role: Director of Christian Education

  • Schedule: Part-time, averaging 8 hours per week

  • Duration: 42 weeks per year (Late August through mid-June)

  • Location: United Church of Underhill

Core Responsibilities

  • Vision & Leadership: Bring a heart for sharing God’s love with young people.

  • Inclusive Programming: Fully embrace and integrate our welcoming, LGBTQIA+ affirming values into all youth and children’s ministries.

  • Service & Outreach: Design programs that engage our youth in community service and outward-facing ministry.

  • Program Development: Create, launch, and evaluate education plans for children and youth.

  • Collaboration: Partner closely with church leaders and volunteers to align ministry goals.

Requirements

  • Safety First: Clear a comprehensive background check before hiring.

  • Training: Complete abuse prevention training (e.g., Safe Gatherings).
